Brian Smith is a strategist, consultant, and writer who creates insight and opportunity from the fringes of business, culture, and the human experience. He has a record of producing 100% increases in key performance indicators and has collaborated with corporations, NGOs, universities, and governments to create strategies that improve outcomes.
Smith connects people to movements. It’s vital for organizations to anticipate shifts in the marketplace and develop resilient strategies. He leads teams in understanding why certain out-of-fields trends matter and how to assess fringe market opportunities before they grow out of control. Smith has experience with change initiatives in banking and finance, healthcare, manufacturing and retail, higher education, professional services, hospitality, and other industries. He designs programs to align employee behavior and marketing strategies.
As an active member of the global TED community, Smith curates TEDx events, mentors new TEDx licensees, and spoke at TEDActive 2014. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Business Ethics Alliance.
